Overview

Lake Enriquillo

Isla Cabritos National Park in the region of Independencia!
We will pick you up at your hotel at 8:00 a.m. The excursion will continue in a northwest direction, for a period of two hours to the lake, we will have a stop at a viewpoint from which you can take photos of the beautiful landscape. You will pass through different typical Dominican towns, as well as a statue of the Taíno chief Enriquillo, who gives the lake its name. Lake Enriquillo is one of the most charming areas in the country and is located 46 meters below sea level. The area is hot and dry, although the springs and small rivers make it extremely fertile in places.

We will travel by boat on the lake, first we will go to a shore stop where there are many possibilities to observe the crocodiles that live in the lake. On the return trip you will visit the town of Neyba, famous for its grapes, and the Las Marías spa. If you want to have lunch in a typical Dominican restaurant, let your guide know about it.
