Overview

The rum and spirits tasting will be an encounter with the best of Dominican rum culture. An expert and native of Puerto Plata will walk guests through a selection of the finest rum made in the country for tasting. Guests will also be able to taste the famous “mamajuana.” Mamajuana is a traditional spiced rum credited to the Taíno people, an indigenous people of the Caribbean. Mamajuana became the signature folk drink of the country and has continued to enchant tourists and locals alike. We will learn about its amazing history.
